Pam Damoff

Damoff attended the University of Western Ontario, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. She worked for 27 years on Bay Street, and was elected to the Oakville Town Council in 2010, and re-elected to a second term in 2014. Damoff earned the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her involvement in various charitable organizations in Oakville, in particular the Terry Fox Run.〔(Pam Damoff Biography ), Liberal.ca.〕
Oakville Ward 6 councilor Max Khan was the initial Liberal Party candidate for Oakville North—Burlington in the 2015 federal election, but he died suddenly in March 2015, leaving the nomination vacant.〔Diana Hall, (Oakville town Councillor Max Khan dies ), ''The Toronto Star'', March 29, 2015.〕 Damoff announced her candidacy for the nomination on April 29, 2015, with the support of the late Khan's father.〔David Lea, (Damoff to seek Liberal nomination for Oakville North-Burlington ), ''The Oakville Beaver'', April 29, 2015.〕 She subsequently secured the nomination, and won the following general election.
